NFL players are allowed to celebrate without getting punished after some rules changes. There’s still some restrictions – Antonio Brown can’t go on a twerking binge, which might be a good thing for all of us – but at least Brown can have some fun.

And if nothing else, we got this video from commissioner Roger Goodell and Brown, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ star receiver. This is … well, it’s something.

Yep. It’s worth keeping in mind that Brown was fined multiple times by Goodell last season for celebrating, the final time costing the Steelers receiver more than $24,000. Apparently Goodell won’t fine players thousands of dollars for being excited over a touchdown anymore, and he’s a man of the people. Go figure.

The move to make the game more enjoyable to watch is undeniably a good thing, and like everything else in 2017, it’s apparently designed to cater to millennials.

“Well I think that part of it is trying to reach the millennial and this new age of fans and having more fun,” former NFL head of officiating Dean Blandino said on Colin Cowherd’s radio show. “And there was a committee, I was part of that committee with different people at the league office in looking at our game, looking at in-game downtime, looking at how our fans watch the game, looking at eye-tracking technology and where their eyes are going.

“It definitely has been something that’s ramped up. I would say it started even earlier than six to 12 months. This has probably been two to three years in the making.”

You know what would really appeal to millennials? More videos of Goodell and Brown together. That’s gold.
